Application of machine learning in quantum control

The operation of a full-scale quantum computer architecture would require highly complex quantum control circuitry. Given that each physical qubit will be different, design of quantum control protocols would be a highly tedious task. In this project, quantum control will be designed for a full-scale surface code quantum computer architecture. The focus will be to apply artificial intelligence techniques to enable autonomous control mechanism, incorporating precise characterisation of each qubit and two-qubit couplings.
