With the ultimate aim of determining optimal techniques in tennis (and other sports), this project will construct verifiable mathematical models of the joints and muscles of a player, the string and frame of a tennis racquet, the flight of a tennis ball through the air, and how it bounces, and then connect these models to form an overarching model that can simulate accurately a player striking a ball.
