This project aims for a mathematical understanding of the workings of the neuronal network of the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans. Advantages of studying C. elegans include the neuronal network being small (only 302 neurones) and the transparency of the body permitting non-invasive visualisation of neuronal activity.
