The reconstruction of Positron Emission Tomography images from the raw gamma ray counts registered at the PET detectors involves several algorithmic parameter choices, that affect the properties of the resultant images. This project will investigate the selection of optimal parameter sets tailored toward end use, for example optimised differentiation between control and positive patient datasets.
