Project Leader: Raffaele Conforti
Primary Contact: Raffaele Conforti (raffaele.conforti@unimelb.edu.au)
Keywords: business process management; process mining
Disciplines: Computing and Information Systems
Domains:

In recent years, the number of companies opening up to the use of process mining is increasing. Using event logs as input, process mining allows companies to acquire insights on how to improve internal business processes. When the event log used as input is affected by noise the insights derived from a process mining exercise can be highly unreliable. This project aims at conducting a systematic literature review of existing log filtering techniques.

The review will:
  1. Provide an overview of the work undertaken in this field;
  2. Assist practitioners and researches in choosing the appropriate filtering technique;
  3. Expose and explain current research gaps
